Every year, some enormous icebergs break off from the coast of Antarctica. The U.S National ice centre has tracked these icebergs since 1978. With my skill obtained from the spatial data analysis course((LTOM.O2.011), University of Tartu, I was able to find and map the path of iceberg B39 with data obtained from https://www.scp.byu.edu/data/iceberg/consolidated database v3.0.zip

In November 2019, I worked on the level of crime rates in Estonia for the year 2018 with data obtained from Estonian Police and Border Guard Board open data page. The study aimed to determine the relationship between population density and crimes. As can be seen from the map produced by the results, places with a higher population tend to have higher crime rates.

Due to my passion for environmental management, I decided to study the quantity of methane (CH₄) gas emissions from a constructed wetland in the Uhti village of Tartu, Estonia using information collected from the site by Kuno Kasak (PhD), University of Tartu. Understanding the amount of methane released by constructed wetlands, as well as the causes of such emissions, and, if possible, simulating a model of lowering it, are the goals of this project. By the side is a GIF I made using the maps I prepared to highlight the changes across a few chosen months in 2018/2019.
